Pump Service Technician
Install, maintain, and repair pump systems for industrial, commercial, and manufacturing customers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. You will work with centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps from multiple manufacturers, commissioning new installations and keeping existing systems running at peak efficiency. Ten plus years with pump systems and VFDs preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install new pumps, including positioning, aligning, and connecting pumps to pipes, motors, and power systems.
- Test and adjust pumps during installation to ensure they operate at optimal efficiency.
- Handle pre-start-up, modification, upgrade, and troubleshooting of VFDs including Eaton, ABB, Yokogawa, Danfoss, and Rockwell.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of pump systems to keep them operating effectively and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot pumps to identify issues such as leaks, noise, or performance drop.
- Replace or repair failed parts, including seals, gaskets, bearings, and motor components.
- Provide assistance and mentoring to other pump technicians.
Requirements
- Complete understanding of pumps, VFDs, and all mechanical systems and their operation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and positioning pump components and working in industrial or outdoor settings.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and complete service reports with strong attention to detail, describing work performed and any recommended repairs.
- Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, technical documents, and schematic design specifications.
- Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
- May be required to obtain certain government clearances for specific projects.
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Minimum 10 years experience with pump systems and VFDs is preferred.
